Procons' services always meet Pesmel’s expectations

Pesmel employs 250 people worldwide. The company’s headquarters are located in Kauhajoki, with additional Finnish units in Seinäjoki and Helsinki. Production takes place in Kauhajoki and Estonia, and the company operates subsidiaries in countries including India, China, Poland, and the USA.

Pesmel designs connection components and profiles for products that need to be stored, such as steel or paper rolls. The design and manufacturing of tire storage systems are also part of the company’s business operations. Procons supplies the steel structures Pesmel needs to implement their storage solutions.

The collaboration began when Henri Vesala, Director of Warehouse Rack & Building Technology at Pesmel, was introduced to Procons’ services through a recommendation from a colleague. Pesmel has now been working with Procons for about three years.

"Our service revolves around solving storage challenges for highly demanding products. We almost exclusively tailor solutions for each individual customer. Procons’ steel structures allow us to serve our customers better," Vesala explains.

Over the course of the collaboration, Procons has proven to be a flexible partner and has also made significant investments in automation.

"At Procons, they are prepared to adapt, for example, by increasing manufacturing capacity according to the order backlog. Their machinery is well-suited to our production requirements."

According to Vesala, collaboration between domestic companies is crucial not only for economic reasons but also because it simplifies tasks like quality assurance.

Finns are traditionally considered reliable, and this also holds true for Procons. A smaller organization can operate more smoothly, and questions are answered promptly.
