Johan Bagge’s journey to Procons was somewhat serendipitous. After 35 years in the dairy industry, he found himself dedicating his days to job hunting – until Procons CEO Klas West learned that a man with extensive experience in warehousing and logistics was out of work. By Christmas 2016, Bagge had a job offer in hand, and his daily commutes from his home in Vörå to the Procons facility in Malax began.

“Klas and I got along well right away, and my work experience matched the company’s needs. It was the best Christmas gift I’ve ever received,” Bagge recalls.

At 57, Bagge had nearly given up hope of re-entering the workforce.

“Klas valued my long experience and didn’t care about my age. I’ll always be grateful for that.”

At Procons, Bagge was able to return to what he does best. He managed warehousing and logistics, coordinated with transport companies, and ensured the warehouse stayed organized.

“The best part has been my colleagues. At Procons, you’re greeted with happy faces every day. Klas is an entrepreneurial and approachable CEO who enjoys chatting with employees. Shared coffee breaks are important here,” Bagge says.

After seven years of service, Bagge is now leaving Procons. While he welcomes retirement, it’s bittersweet.

“It’s a big step, of course, after working as long as I have, but everything has its time.”

He now looks forward to sleeping in, spending time with his family, and enjoying his days in the archipelago.

Storäng Takes Over Logistics and Looks Forward to Business Development

Procons’ warehouse and logistics operations are now in the hands of Simon Storäng, who steps into Bagge’s role. With experience in the metal, construction, and boating industries, Storäng sees the versatility of his job as a great advantage.

“My work is highly varied, as I’m responsible for everything related to goods reception, loading, and packaging, as well as communication with transport companies and customers. I especially appreciate the workplace’s welcoming atmosphere. I think it’s because we’re a relatively small team working toward common goals.”

Storäng is eager to contribute to the company’s development:

“As a new employee with fresh eyes, it’s easy to spot areas for improvement. I’m leveraging this perspective to optimize and streamline business operations.”

Storäng and Bagge share more than just a job title; they also share a love for life at sea. After work, Storäng unwinds in his workshop, where he builds and repairs boats – a pastime that mirrors Bagge’s passion for the archipelago.
